Article I
Name
The name of this organization shall be the SaddleBrooke Niners Ladies’ Golf Association, hereinafter, referred to as the Niners.
Article II
Object
The object of the Niners shall be to promote golf and the activities of the organization.
Article III
Members
Section 1. Membership in the Niners is unlimited in number.
Section 2. Full Membership in the Niners shall be open to any woman who is a resident (owner or renter) of the SaddleBrooke Homeowners’ Association HOA#1 or HOA#2, so long as she is not currently a member of the SaddleBrooke Women’s Golf Association (SBWGA) 18 hole league or the Mountain View Women’s Golf Association (MPWGA) 18 hole league, and has met the eligibility requirements. A prospective member who does not have an established verifiable handicap must accumulate six (9 hole) properly attested scorecards. The scorecards, a completed application, a copy of the current homeowner’s association card or renter’s card, and a check for the year’s dues must be given to the membership chair. Additionally, the prospective member must attend an orientation meeting within the first three months of her membership. The highest handicap to which a member may play in league is 30, although members may enter the club with a higher handicap.
Section 3. Social Membership is open to any past Full Member who is no longer participating in the golf events of the club; but, wishes to attend the social events (i.e., luncheons, evening socials, etc.). A one time social membership fee determined by the Executive Board will be assessed for this privilege. If the Social Member later decides to reinstate her Full Membership, the Social Membership fee will be applied to her Full Membership.
Section 4. The Niner's fiscal year will coincide with the AWGA fiscal year. The Niner's Executive Board shall determine when annual dues are payable and the delinquent date for payment. Members who do not pay their dues by the delinquent date will be dropped from membership in the organization.
Section 5. Dues are not refundable if a member terminates her membership.

Article IV
Officers
Section 1. The officers of the Niners shall be: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Tournament, Handicap and Pairings Chair.
Section 2. The President shall appoint a nominating committee of at least three members, one of whom shall serve as chair. Three months prior to the annual meeting the nominating committee will post the slate of officers. Two months prior to the annual meeting the nominating committee will present the slate of officers to the membership at a regular meeting. Other nominations will be taken at that time. If there are no nominations from the floor a ballot is not required and the slate may be accepted and elected by a majority voice vote at that time.
Section 3. In the event that any nominations are made from the floor the new slate of officers will be posted. The election shall take place one month prior to the annual meeting and shall be by ballot, requiring a majority vote of members voting for a candidate to be elected. The term of office shall be for one year. No officer is eligible to serve in the same office for more than two consecutive years
Section 4. Members in good standing after one year’s membership shall be eligible to serve as an officer. The past president shall serve as an honorary member of the board for a one year period after her term as president. A vacancy on the board shall be filled at the discretion of the board.

Article V
Meetings
Section 1. There shall be at least four regular meetings of the Niners, annually.
Section 2. The annual meeting shall be held in December. At the meeting officers will be installed and annual awards will be given to members.
Section 3. Members present will constitute a quorum.
Article VI
The Executive Board
Section 1. The officers of the Niners shall constitute the Executive board.
Section 2. The Executive Board shall have general supervision of the affairs of the Niners between business meetings, fix the hour and place of meetings, make recommendations to the members, and shall perform such duties as are specified in these Bylaws and in the Standing Rules.
Section 3. The Executive Board shall meet at least four times during the year. All meetings shall be called by the President or the Vice President if necessary.
Article VII
Committees
Section 1. Standing committees shall be as follows: Bulletin Board, Historian, Membership, Publicity, Ringer Board, Rules, Social, Sunshine, Web Site, Outside Invitationals, Internal Communications and Niners Notes.
Section 2. Other committees shall be appointed by the President, as the Executive Board deems necessary.
Article VII
Parliamentary Authority
The rules contained in the current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern the Niners in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with these bylaws and a special rules of order the Niners may adopt. The Parliamentarian shall be appointed by the President and approved by the board.
Article IX
Amendment of ByLaws
Theses Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority of the Niners present and voting at any meeting called for the purpose of changing the Bylaws. All proposed amendments shall be posted 30 days in advance of the intended vote.
